About Us

Hughes Travel was started in London in 1975 by Campbell Hughes and moved to Ridgetown in 1990, where he and his wife Dorothy ran the business until it was sold to Lynda and Randy Ross in July of 2009. Lynda and Randy operate out of their home and lead day trips for local seniors, in addition to selling packaged tours, all inclusive vacations, cruises and other great travel products.  Once or twice per year clients accompany them to some exotic destination. In 2014, this was Africa, a Viking River Cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest in September and China.  In 2015, this was Panama in February, Venice in June and Ireland in July.  In 2016, we went to Scotland in August and did a trans-Atlantic cruise in October.  In 2017, we went to Croatia and Slovenia in April and Newfoundland in July.  For 2018, we have booked a trip to Indochina in January and an Alaska cruise in June.

Lynda is retired from being a personal banker with Scotiabank.  Randy is retired from teaching business at the Ridgetown Campus of The University of Guelph.
